I know I have told a lot of you (mostly the Auburn Girls) about my latest adventure in quilt making! Yea! *Holding my hands up to cheer!!!*
Well, It was my moms birthday this weekend so for part of her present we went to the fabric store to get materials and supplies. I got some cool funky fabric (I forgot to take a picture and it is at my moms house! I will do it this weekend!) and my mom got some dog bone fabric to make a quilt for her dog Mufkin. Well, I call him Mufkin, but his name is Romeo. Anyway – I will hope to have some more posts just about the quilt making process – so stay tuned!
For my moms birthday, Marc and I took Mom and Buck out to a movie and dinner at The Tavern. Tasty! We saw Gran Torino, which was just really really good. I mean, I laughed and cried and thought about the movie for a long time after we watched it. I highly suggest anyone who is interested to see this movie. Clint Eastwood is a genius.

Gran Torino - So good!

Also – Most of you know I have been fighting The Man about cable for years. Which means I have been Cable Free for 6 years! Whoo Hoo! Really – You don’t need cable to be entertained – that is why I have NetFlix! Haha! But back to the cable issue – this means I needed to get prepared for the DTV Conversion (which is just a bunch of BS – save that for a later post). So far – I don’t like it. The box itself is small and slick – so that is good since it just fits right on top of my DVD Player. But I am seriously disappointed with the reception. It cuts in and out like watching a really scratched up DVD and I don’t get my beloved APT anymore! I am told not every station has gone digital yet (which is stupid if true) so hopefully as we get closer (less than a month away!) I will get my APT back. For the meantime, I have been watching the analog channel.
My impressive “Entertainment Center”.
And in closing – here’s winking at you Kid!
Peace Out* -
*that is for you Trish ;)

Peace in,
So I'm glad someone else lost their PBS in the DTV conversion. Fingers crossed we'll both get it back. Funny thing was, I had it for about a week after getting my box last March -- then it disappeared and never came back no matter how many $$ antennas I tried. You may need an amplified one to get your stations in clear.
I can't believe your dog winks!!
xo Trish
I love that you're quilting! I can't wait to see some finished products :) Your dog is so cute.
