Last weekend Kristi, Roger and I went to see Alejandro Escovedo at WorkPlay. He put on an AMAZING show!
Opening up for Alejendro was Randall Bramblett. I haven’t ever heard of him before – but he was pretty good. He also brought out another guy who teaches English at UAB for a few songs. Apparently they used to play together and write songs when he was at school in Athens. They were both really good and I wish I had picked up his CD.
Then Alejandro and his band came on. They opened up with my favorite song “Always A Friend”. It was AMAZING!
Then – towards the end of the night, Alejandro and his band came down and played 3 acoustic songs RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR TABLE!!!!
It was so cool! I was WAY excited and when Alejandro looked at me and did a acknowledgement nod and smiled at me I am sure I had a ridiculous massive smile on my face!
