Sunday Snow Hike!

So my hiking Meet Up was supposed to meet up yesterday afternoon to do a hike at Moss Park Preserve. Due to the snow conditions, Ken and I decided that we should cancel since there were a few roads closed and we didn’t want anyone to get in an accident getting there. But it was such a lovely day and just walking around in the back yard wasn’t going to cut it. So my neighbor Jennifer and I went to the Vestavia Nature Trail right up the road from our condos. http://www.vhtc.org/places.htm#NatureTrail

It was really lovely out and Nola and Fred Astaire ran free in the snow. They were very cute. Fred Astaire got grounded and by the end of the hike he was on his leash – the little brat.

Overall – a beautiful day in Winter Wonderland. Even if it was just for the day. Today on my way to work there was no sign of snow except for few ice patches – which happens from time to time.

I hope the Snow Day’s are a once or twice a year thing from now on. I am totally digging it!
